Dean of the Faculty of Security Sciences at the XIII International Exhibition “Complex Security 2021” in Moscow, Russia
The cooperation between the Faculty of Security Sciences of the University of Banja Luka and the Faculty of Security of the Moscow Region State University (MGOU) has resulted in another visit and joint meetings between representatives of these higher education institutions.
From May 13 to May 16, 2021, the Dean of the Faculty of Security Sciences, Prof. Dr. Predrag Ćeranić, stayed in Moscow as an honorary member of the Moscow Faculty of Security team during the international exhibition “Complex Security 2021.” The Government of the Russian Federation has traditionally organized this exhibition since 2008, with the most significant exhibitors being the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The total exhibition area covers approximately 25,000 square meters, showcasing the latest scientific and technological achievements in the fields of security, protection, and rescue. Prof. Dr. Predrag Ćeranić also visited the Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces. The cathedral was constructed using melted German tanks and aircraft seized during World War II. More about this magnificent structure can be found at: https://hram.mil.ru/
During the official part of the visit, a meeting was held between the leadership of the two faculties regarding the joint second-cycle study program “Ecological Security.” Discussions focused on the possibilities of issuing a joint diploma for students from both Banja Luka and Moscow.
The planned study program will last a total of four semesters, during which all students will spend one semester in Moscow and one in Banja Luka. For the remaining two semesters, students will attend classes at their home institutions and write their final thesis.
This visit and working meeting serve as a confirmation and continuation of the long-standing and fruitful cooperation between the University of Banja Luka and the Moscow Region State University, which began at the initiative of the Faculty of Security Sciences.
