Prof. Dr. Velibor Lalić Participates in the 8th International Scientific-Professional Conference Organized by the Biotechnical Faculty and the Ministry of Construction, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection of the USC in Bihać

On June 5, 2024, Prof. Dr. Velibor Lalić participated in a panel discussion at the 8th International Scientific-Professional Conference, organized by the Biotechnical Faculty and the Ministry of Construction, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection of the Una-Sana Canton (USC) in Bihać.

On the first day of the conference, the topic was Trgovska gora, the location where the Republic of Croatia intends to build a nuclear waste storage facility.

Experts and delegates from the state, federal, and Republic of Srpska levels participated in the discussion. The panel discussion participants sent a strong message, as Trgovska gora is a subject of increasing concern regarding the health and safety of citizens.

Prof. Dr. Velibor Lalić spoke about the impact of the nuclear storage construction project on the security of the local population, as well as the significance of social research in determining the negative impacts of the planned project.
