Study visit to the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies

The students of  final year at the Faculty of Security Science paid a visit from May 16 to 20, 2022 to the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies in Belgrade.

On this occasion, the students visited simulation classrooms, forensics offices, criminal operations, police, emergency rooms and Archibald Rice’s room. Teachers of  the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies introduced students to the procedures for creating situational scenarios and the implementation of official activities during the investigation, the history of police education in the Republic of Serbia, the origin, organization and work of the Criminal Police University, curricula of academic, professional, master and doctoral study.

Among other activities, we highlight a tour and acquaintance with the work of the Police Administration of Belgrade, a visit to the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, the archeological site Viminacium, the Border Police Administration and a visit to the history of the National Center for Criminal Forensics.

The stay of FBN students at KPU is the result of many years of cooperation between the two institutions and is realized every year for students in the final year of first cycle studies.

The visit was led by senior assistants of the Faculty of Security Sciences, Dr. Predrag Popović and Dr. Gojko Šetka.
