Eighth Anniversary of Successful Work of the Faculty of Security Sciences Marked
With a formal ceremony and the awarding of diplomas to graduates, on March 6, 2025, the Faculty of Security Sciences celebrated its eighth anniversary of successful work and development.
The program, held in the Faculty’s amphitheater, was attended by graduates, employees, and students, as well as Rector Prof. Dr. Radoslav Gajanin, Minister for Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Željko Budimir, representative of the President of Srpska Nina Sajić, representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives of the State University of Education from Moscow, representatives of the Faculty of Security Studies in Belgrade, and representatives of institutions from the fields of science, culture, and sports.
The program was opened by the Republic of Srpska MoI Orchestra with the intonation of the anthem “Moja Republika” and the “Hymn to Saint Sava.”
In his welcome address, Dean Prof. Dr. Predrag Ćeranić spoke about the Faculty’s developmental path over the past eight years, emphasizing that our teachers and associates devote special attention to pedagogical work with students.
Rector Academician Prof. Dr. Radoslav Gajanin addressed the guests on behalf of the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka.
The attendees were also addressed by the Minister for Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srpska, Dr. Željko Budimir.
Continuing the ceremony, Dean Ćeranić awarded cash prizes to the best graduate students: Željka Piljagić, Jovana Jandrić, and Aleksandar Živić.
The program continued with the presentation of recognitions and awards to deserving individuals and organizations.
Certificates of appreciation were presented to representatives of the Faculty of Security of the State University of Education from Moscow: Rector Naumova Natalya Alexandrovna, Dean Kovalev Pavel Alexandrovich, and Vice-Dean Gomzyakova Nataliya Yuryevna.
Certificates were also awarded to Slađana Tanasić, Director of the Republic Pedagogical Institute; Jelena Atlagić, Head of the Police Orchestra Department of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska; Vanja Rečević, member of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska; Professor Dane Subošić of the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies in Belgrade; and Vanja Aleksić and Jovana Kovačević, employees of the University of Banja Luka.
The formal ceremony program concluded with the promotion of graduates of the first and second cycles of studies.
The ceremony was closed with the musical number “King Peter’s Guard Marched” (Marširala kralja Petra garda).
