Faculty Representatives at the Conference “Natural Disasters, Risks and Joint Action in the Region”
Representatives of the Faculty of Security Sciences participated in the regional conference “Natural Disasters, Risks and Joint Action in the Region,” held in Trebinje on March 9.
The first regional conference “Natural Disasters, Risks and Joint Action in the Region” gathered representatives of competent institutions and organizations from Republika Srpska, Serbia, and Montenegro.
Stevan Bekan, Director of PI “Ecology and Security” and Head of the Emergency Management Staff of Trebinje, stated that the goal is to highlight everything that has been happening in recent years and to establish regional cooperation.
Milica Sikimić, Senior Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Security Sciences in Banja Luka, stated that this higher education institution has been working on the development of study programs in the field of environmental security for seven years.
The first regional conference on joint action in the region in the event of natural disasters in Trebinje was organized on the occasion of International Civil Defence Day, and within the framework of the conference, the demonstration exercise “Shield 2024” (Štit 2024) was held.
