Conference “Security Issues in Southeastern Europe” Held
Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, with the support of the Representative Office of the Government of the Republic of Srpska in Moscow, an online conference titled “Security Issues in Southeastern Europe” was held on April 21, 2023.
The conference featured participation from:

Željko Samardžija, Ambassador of BiH to the Russian Federation;

Viktor Nuždić, Director of the Republic Center for Research on War, War Crimes, and Searching for Missing Persons;

Ivan Stoiljković, President of the Democratic Party of Serbs in North Macedonia;

Dževad Galijašević, Head of the Center for Humanitarian Law and Anti-Terrorism;

Ekaterina Entina, Head of the Department for Black Sea and Mediterranean Studies at the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences;

Predrag Ćeranić, Dean of the Faculty of Security Sciences, University of Banja Luka;

Andrey Temyashov, Minister-Counselor of the Russian Embassy in Serbia.
The participants emphasized that Russia seeks peace in the Balkans and is interested in the development of the peninsula, as it is a region closely linked to the Russian Federation in cultural, economic, and historical terms.
