Pilgrimage to Ostrog for the Feast Day of St. Basil the Wonderworker

Students of the Faculty of Security Sciences, Ivana Rašović and Tamara Radić, completed a pilgrimage to the Ostrog Monastery from May 9 to May 12 to venerate the holy relics of St. Basil of Ostrog.

The pilgrimage began in Nevesinje, in front of the Church of the Ascension of the Lord, and Ivana and Tamara covered a journey 170 kilometers long.

St. Basil of Ostrog the Wonderworker (born Stojan Jovanović) was born in 1610 in the village of Mrkonjići near Trebinje.

The Serbian Orthodox Church celebrates the Feast Day of St. Basil of Ostrog on May 12.
