The management of the University of Banja Luka, led by Rector Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, met on 15 February 2022 with members of the Expert Team for the Ranking of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Srpska, Prof. Darko Petković, PhD, and Tadeja Jere Jakulin.
During the meeting held at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, it was emphasized that the project of ranking higher education institutions in the Republic of Srpska, for the first time provides a detailed insight into the real situation in higher education. During this meeting, the members of the Expert Team gave clear guidelines on how to develop and improve international cooperation and scientific research in higher education institutions.
Darko Petković, PhD, is a professor at the University of Zenica, and Tadeja Jere Jakulin, PhD, is from the University of Primorska, Koper.
The project of ranking higher education institutions in the Republic of Srpska aims to provide better information about the higher education system, increase scientific productivity in the context of international visibility and recognition. The goal is to encourage higher education institutions to continuously develop and improve the quality system in order to get better ranking on the world lists.
The meeting was attended on behalf of the University of Banja Luka: Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs Prof. Strain Posavljak, PhD, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and University Development Prof. Goran Latinović, PhD, and Secretary General Đorđe Markez. Director of the Agency for Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Srpska Assist. Prof. Biljana Vojvodić, PhD, and Assistant Director for Accreditation and International Cooperation Duška Radmanović, MA, also attended the meeting.
