Faculty of Security Sciences Celebrates Patron Saint Day – Savindan
With the service led by Father Teofil, Hegumen of the Osovica Monastery, the Faculty of Security Sciences held the traditional breaking of the slava cake today, marking the Faculty’s patron saint day, Savindan.
In 2023, the Faculty of Security Sciences established Saint Sava as its patron saint and protector.
Saint Sava was the youngest son of Stefan Nemanja; a Serbian prince, a Mount Athos monk, the founder of the Serbian Church, a diplomat, legislator, benefactor, writer, and pilgrim. He is considered one of the most significant figures in our history and the greatest Serbian enlightener.
