FBN Students Visit “Open Doors Day” Event at the District Court in Banja Luka

On December 4, 2025, the “Open Doors Day” event was held at the District Court in Banja Luka, aimed at strengthening transparency, familiarizing citizens with the work and functioning of the court, and boosting trust in the court’s operations. The event was held within the framework of the international campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.”

The event was attended by students of the Faculty of Security Sciences of the University of Banja Luka, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Dragana Vasiljević and the Vice-Dean for Teaching, Assistant Professor Dr. Dražen Miljić.

In the first part of the visit, the attendees were welcomed by the Deputy President of the Court, Judge Dragomir Obradović. In the continuation of the program, the attendees were addressed by:

  • The President of the Criminal and Misdemeanor Division, Judge Igor Cimeša;

  • The President of the Special Department for the Suppression of Corruption, Organized and Most Serious Forms of Economic Crime, Judge Srđan Forca;

  • The President of the Civil Division, Judge Nevenka Mitrić;

  • The President of the Administrative Division, Judge Mira Došenović;

  • The Court Secretary, Milena Marković;

  • The Head of the Witness Support Section, Olga Lola Ninković.

In the second part of the program, visitors had the opportunity to tour the premises of the Witness Support Section, the mail reception and dispatch rooms, the registry and archives, as well as the detention units of the court.

Interested students were also given the opportunity to attend a main hearing (trial) that was held on the same day in one of the courtrooms and was open to the public.
