On March 27, 2025, the Faculty of Security Sciences held the 5th International Scientific Conference entitled “Contemporary Challenges and Threats to Security”.

In addition to questions related to the holding of the scientific conference, journalists also asked questions related to the current political and security situation in BiH and the region. The Dean, Prof. Dr. Predrag Đeranic noted that BiH had previously found a way out of similar crises, and assessed that the situation in Serbia was worrying. Professor Mićin emphasized that the current situation in BiH was developing in the direction of political connotation, and that there was no possibility of large-scale confrontations. Marija Đorić explained that the security situation was crucial, both in BiH and Serbia, and in the region. Dr. Antonović concluded that the Republika Srpska was a thorn in the side of the great powers and forces who were trying in every possible way to destroy it through various attacks and pressures.
The meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Predrag Ćeranic, and the presentations continued in two separate sessions.
