FBN Students: Karate Masters and Referees

Students of the Faculty of Security Sciences of the University of Banja Luka, Goran Zečević, Dario Zečević, and Zorana Gligorević—karate masters and karate referees—participated as officials on March 1, 2025, at the Regional Championship for Children under 14, held in Modriča.

Goran Zečević, a master’s student in Security and Criminalistics, has been practicing karate for 24 years at the Karate Club “Sloga” Doboj. He holds the master rank of Black Belt 2nd Dan, and is a licensed club coach and a licensed national karate referee.

Dario Zečević, a second-year student at the Faculty of Security Sciences, has been practicing karate for 15 years at the Karate Club “Polet” Brod. He holds the master rank of Black Belt 1st Dan and is a licensed chief regional karate referee. He was named the Best Athlete of the Municipality of Brod for 2018.

Zorana Gligorević, a second-year student at the Faculty of Security Sciences, has been practicing karate for 15 years at the Karate Club “Polet” Brod. She holds the master rank of Black Belt 1st Dan and is a licensed chief regional karate referee.

At the Faculty of Security Sciences, within the teaching and scientific process, special attention is devoted to karate as one of the fundamental martial arts, within the framework of the Special Physical Education course.
