Republic of Srpska Day: Faculty Students Take Part in the Ceremonial Parade

The ceremonial parade marking the 33rd birthday of the Republic of Srpska was held on January 9 at Krajina Square in Banja Luka.

Prior to this, the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy was served in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Banja Luka, led by His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije.

The parade began at 5:00 PM.

Eighty students of the Faculty of Security Sciences, divided into two echelons, participated in the parade carrying the Faculty’s banner. This is the eighth ceremonial parade in a row and the seventh in which students of the Faculty of Security Sciences have participated.

The Republic of Srpska was created on January 9, 1992, by the decision of the Assembly of the Serbian People in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was preserved through a heroic struggle for survival from 1992 to 1995. It achieved international recognition through the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, signed on November 21, 1995.

Representing the University of Banja Luka in the RTRS Open Program were Milica Hrvač, Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Security Sciences, and Stojanka Berić, the Best Student of the Class at the Faculty of Forestry. You can watch the video at the link HERE.

We thank the students of the Faculty for their participation in the celebration of the Day of Srpska.
