Prof. Dr. Velibor Lalić Holds Lecture at Ludovika University of Public Service in Budapest

Prof. Dr. Velibor Lalić visited the Ludovika University of Public Service in Budapest, Hungary, as a guest lecturer from November 18 to 22, 2024.

His lecture, titled “Theoretical and Conceptual Perspectives of Private and Corporate Security: The Case of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” gathered lecturers from the Department of Private Security, private security students, national experts in corporate and private security, as well as law enforcement practitioners.

The participants of the lecture were welcomed by Ambassador Iván Gyurcsik, Director of the Ludovika Scholars Program, and Levente Tóth, Acting Head of the Department of Private Security at the Faculty of Law Enforcement of the Ludovika University of Public Service.

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Velibor Lalić also held a workshop titled “The Role of Private and Corporate Security in Crisis Situations – Crisis Management Challenges.”

The previously mentioned group of students and lecturers was joined by Major General Gábor Kovács, Dean of the Faculty of Law Enforcement, students of the Szent György College, as well as experts in fire protection engineering and industrial security from the Institute for Disaster Management.

During the session, participants worked on solving five different crisis situations, addressing them in smaller groups while following pre-defined guidelines. Representatives of each group presented their solutions, which were then jointly evaluated by all participants, allowing the scenarios to be viewed from different angles and identifying potential shortcomings and solutions.

Feedback from teachers and students indicated that the session was very successful, as participants not only enhanced their professional knowledge but also developed creativity and communication skills.

During the one-week visit, several professional and academic meetings were held, opening the door for future cooperation between the universities.
