Vučurević and Vujičić are the European judo elite
Students of the Faculty of Security Science Božidar Vučurević and Vasilije Vujičić (recently graduated security and criminal law) performed at the European Judo Cup for seniors, which was held last weekend in Pale.
The cup brought together the European judo elite.
In a very strong competition of 345 competitors from 25 European countries, Božidar Vučurević won thegold medal, and Vasilije Vujičić won the bronze medal.
Vučurević performed for the first time in the stronger category, -90 kg. On the way to the gold medal, he defeated the representatives of Azerbaijan, Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Germany.
Vujičić competed in the +100 kg category, and on the way to the bronze in the first fight, he was free, while in the second match he defeated the representative of Israel. In the third match, he lost to the representative of Slovenia, and in the fourth match, he defeated the representative of Montenegro and won bronze.
The European Senior Cup is a competition from the calendar of the European Judo Union, the technical organizer of the competition in Pale is the Judo Association of Republic of Srpska.
