Faculty of Security Sciences – Overall Winner of the “Policijada 2025” Competition

On May 17 and 18, 2025, on the occasion of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior (MoI) Police Day, the sports games titled “Policijada 2025” were held at the MoI Training Center in Zalužani. In addition to 27 organizational units of the Ministry, students from the Faculty of Security Sciences also participated.

Approximately 630 competitors took part in the games, competing in six sports disciplines (shooting, judo, futsal, basketball, volleyball, and cross-country running). The Faculty of Security Sciences team was represented by 35 competitors who participated in all mentioned disciplines, achieving very notable individual and team results.

Upon completion of the competition, the Faculty of Security Sciences team won the trophy for the Overall Winner of the “Policijada 2025” sports games, with a total of 35 points.

In the women’s cross-country discipline, Marija Ljubanić took second place. In the men’s judo discipline, first places were won by Igor Đurica (under-73 kg category) and Nikola Kretija (under-90 kg category), while Ljubiša Rudan took third place (under-73 kg category).

In the team rankings, first place was won by the women’s volleyball team and the women’s cross-country team, while the men’s judo competitors took second place. Additionally, second place in the team rankings was achieved by the cross-country competitors after the evaluation of combined results in both men’s and women’s categories.

Although the competitors in shooting, futsal, and basketball did not win medals in the team rankings, their performances significantly contributed to achieving the overall result.
