Faculty of Security Sciences at the 12th Science Festival

The science festival, the 12th in a row, lasted from May 23rd to May 24th, and the central event was a large exhibition of experiments, while visitors could see scientific demonstrations and other contents that promote science in an interesting way.

At this year’s Science Festival, 21 faculties of the University of Banja Luka and East Sarajevo, the Institute for Genetic Resources of Banjaluka, the Directorate for Police Training, and several Banja Luka secondary schools were represented.

The Faculty of Security Sciences presented itself with means of coercion and means from criminal techniques and forensics. The students report that the visitors were interested in the means for detecting latent and visible prints of papular lines of fingers and palms, ballistics expertise as well as expertise for energetic and explosive substances.

The stand of the Faculty of Security Sciences was visited by the Rector of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Dr. Radoslav Gajanin and Željko Budimir, Minister of Science and Technology Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska.

Also, books published by the Faculty of Security Sciences were presented: “Intelligence and Security Services”, “Organization and Jurisdiction of the Police”, “Terrorism – Legal Framework and Jurisprudence”, “Digital Hygiene”, “Police Science”, “Explosives Engineering and explosive substances”.
