Second-Year Students Visit the Agency for Forensic Examinations

On April 26, 2024, second-year students of the Faculty of Security Sciences visited the Agency for Forensic Examinations and Expertise of BiH.

Director Radiša Samardžija welcomed the guests and briefly introduced the Agency and its role in the security system.

A short presentation was held for the students concerning the establishment, legal competencies, laboratory capacities, achieved results, and problems the Agency encounters in its work.

After the introductory part of the visit, the students toured the laboratories within the Agency. Through conversations with staff working on forensic examinations and expertise, they gained better insight into working methods and the various types of requests for expertise that the Agency receives from competent prosecutor’s offices and courts.

The visit was organized within the framework of the “Fundamentals of Forensics” course, taught by Assistant Professor Dr. Saša Mićin.

The Agency is located in East Sarajevo and operates within the Ministry of Security of BiH.
