FBN Instructor of Foreign Languages and Skills, Sandra Čihorić, Represents the Faculty in Turkey
From October 21 to October 23, 2025, the International Russian Language Week “East – West” was held at Yeditepe University in Istanbul (Turkey). This event is a project of Rossotrudnichestvo and Moscow State Linguistic University, intended for teachers and experts in the Russian language from Europe and Turkey.
The first part of the program was implemented in an online format from October 6 to October 15, while the final part, held in Istanbul, was attended by 80 representatives from 24 European countries and 20 experts from Turkey. Participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences regarding modern approaches to teaching Russian as a foreign language, national specificities, and new forms of inter-faculty cooperation.
The program included round tables, strategic sessions, lectures by experts from Moscow State Linguistic University, as well as discussions on the current state of the Russian language and teaching in the age of artificial intelligence.
At one of the round tables, Sandra Čihorić, MA, presented Russian language teaching in the Republic of Srpska and the work of the University of Banja Luka, highlighting the importance of strengthening academic cooperation and the exchange of experiences in the field of education.
