A lecture on Chinese martial arts held at the Faculty of Security Science

On 8 December 2021, a lecture on Chinese martial arts was held for the students of the Faculty of Security Sciences of the University of Banja Luka.

During the lecture organized by the Confucius Institute of the University of Banja Luka and this faculty, students were introduced to traditional Chinese martial arts styles, as well as with the history and philosophy of Chinese martial arts and practical aspects of these skills.

Special reference was given to the discipline, i.e., the martial arts style named Shuai Jiao (摔跤, shuāi jiāo), one of the oldest styles in China.

Lecturer Dragan Đumić, master of ’Lotos’ Kung Fu Wushu Club in Banja Luka, who has been leading a Taiji course at the Confucius Institute for several years now, demonstrated several
Chinese Shuai Jiao movements to the students.

A seminar in this martial art, which students of the Faculty of Security Sciences can also sign up, will be held on 11 and 12 December 2021 in Banja Luka. Apart from Dragan Đumić, the seminar will be held by the President of the European Federation of Shuai Jiao and the master of this style, Antonio Langiano from Italy.
