Cooperation with the Institute of History and the Institute of Contemporary History Made Official
On 13 December 2019, the University of Banja Luka signed the Agreements on Scientific and Educational-Cultural Cooperation with the Institute of History and the Institute of Contemporary History, Belgrade, at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka.
The Agreements were signed by Rector of the University of Banja Luka Professor Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, Director of the Institute of History Professor Aleksandar Rastovic, PhD, and Director of the Institute of Contemporary History Professor Predrag Markovic, PhD.
It was agreed that the signatories would, among other things, cooperate in organizing promotions of their publications, exchange information on their plans and improve their activities on the development of joint projects, as well as help each other in the implementation of international research projects. The plan is also to cooperate in the organization of international and national scientific conferences, seminars and similar activities.
The meeting at the Rectorate and the signing of the documents was attended by Rector for Scientific Research and University Development Prof. Goran Latinović, PhD, who initiated the conclusion of the agreement, and Senior Assistant at the Department of History, Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Banja Luka, Nikola Ozegovic, MA, as well as scientists from the Institute of History and the Institute of Contemporary History.
After signing the agreement, Professor Aleksandar Rastovic, PhD, and Biljana Vucetic, PhD, gave lectures to the professors and students of history at the Faculty of Philosophy. The day before, on 12 December 2019, some of the editions of both institutes were presented at the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska. The academic Drago Brankovic gave a welcome speech and the event was moderated by Nikola Ozegovic.
