SECOND CYCLE ACADEMIC STUDIES: SECURITY AND CRIMINOLOGY – 300 ECTS

Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of this study program is to upgrade the existing level of education and provide opportunities for both further professional development and the tracking of scientific achievements in the fields of criminology, security, defense, and protection. This serves to create a high-quality scientific-educational profile capable of performing security tasks in the broadest sense of the word. The program is designed in accordance with the latest advancements in security, criminology, and legal sciences, modern security practices, and study programs of leading universities in the region and worldwide, as well as the specific needs of our society.

By establishing this study program, the Faculty further responds to the evolving demands of society and advancements in security work, ensuring a modern, highly professional approach to strategies for combatting, preventing, and detecting crime and other deviant phenomena. Through the application of Bologna principles, this program trains experts in security and criminology for the highest levels of complex security operations. This contributes to enhancing the safety of citizens across all levels of society and government.

The primary objective of the proposed study program is to develop critical, analytical, interdisciplinary, and creative thinking, as well as the capacity for independent reasoning, concluding, and presenting findings in the fields of security and criminology. Furthermore, the goal is to provide students with additional theoretical and practical training for all types of roles within security agencies, as well as other institutions requiring specialists in security and criminology.
