Biography:
Assistant Professor Dragana Vasiljević, PhD, was born on June 14, 1983, in Banja Luka. She completed her primary and secondary education in Prnjavor. In 2006, she graduated from the College of Internal Affairs in Banja Luka as the valedictorian (Student of the Year).
Academic Education

Master’s Degree: Completed in 2013 at the Faculty of Law, University of East Sarajevo, defending her Master’s thesis titled “Preparatory Acts in Criminal Law.”

Doctoral Degree: Earned in 2020 at the Faculty of Law, University of Novi Sad, defending her doctoral dissertation titled “Co-perpetration – Criminal Law and Criminological Aspects.”
Professional Career
She began her professional career at the College of Internal Affairs as an Assistant (2006–2017). Since 2018, she has been employed at the Faculty of Security Sciences, University of Banja Luka, initially as a Senior Assistant (2018–2022) and subsequently in her current rank of Assistant Professor (Docent).
Awards and Professional Contributions
For her academic excellence, she has received numerous awards, including two recognitions from the President of the Republic. She is the author of several papers published in domestic and international journals, one monograph, and has participated in various domestic and international projects.
She is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal for Security and Criminology (Žurnal za bezbjednost i kriminalistiku).
By the decision of the Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2025, she was appointed to the List of Experts for cooperation with the Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this capacity, she works within the National Preventive Mechanism for the prevention of torture and other cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Personal Information: She is married and the mother of one child.
