Biography:
Sandra Čihorić was born on July 21, 1997, in Trebinje. She completed the “Jovan Dučić” Gymnasium in her hometown, after which she enrolled at the Faculty of Philology, University of Banja Luka, in the Russian and Serbian Language and Literature study program.
After her first year of undergraduate studies, in July 2017, she stayed in Belgorod, Russia, where she attended the “Russian as a Foreign Language” course at the Belgorod State Technological University. She completed her undergraduate academic studies in 2020 with exceptional success and a GPA of 9.91, earning the title of the best graduate student of the Faculty of Philology, University of Banja Luka, for the academic year 2020/2021.
She completed her master’s studies at Saint Petersburg State University (2021–2023) with a GPA of 10.00 and special distinction. During her stay in Saint Petersburg, she completed the School for Testers of Russian as a Foreign Language at the Testing Center for Russian as a Foreign Language and passed the C2 level Russian proficiency test. She taught Russian language classes and tested foreign students at the State Public General Education Institution Secondary School No. 38, Primorsky District, Saint Petersburg.
She has been employed at the Faculty of Security Sciences since 2023 as a Teaching Associate. She was elected to the title of Teacher of Foreign Languages and Skills on January 30, 2025. Her first professional work experience was with the Serbian-Russian Friendship Organization “Brotherhood” (Bratstvo), where she worked as a lecturer of Russian as a foreign language from 2019 to 2021.
She actively participated as an interpreter/translator at the scientific conference “Balkan Dialogue 2023”, the round table “Security and Countering Terrorism”, and the event “Culinary Education for Persons with Down Syndrome”.
She has participated in numerous professional and scientific activities, notably the scientific-practical conference IV School of Serbian Studies “Dominants of Serbian Culture: Language, Culture, and History of Kosovo and Metohija”. She also worked in the State Examination Commission at the State University of Education in Moscow and participated in the realization of the joint study program “Ecological Security” between the Faculty of Security Sciences and the State University of Education in Moscow, acting as a translator and coordinator.
